At least that is what culture tells us. The problem with our consumerism is that we have brought it into our spiritual life. Scripture never tells us that it is about us. It is always about God and others.

Because we live in such a consumer society, people bring that same attitude into a church. The mindset that the church exists for them. Where did we get our information about what it means to be a part of a local church?

God wants us to use His money to have the greatest Kingdom impact. Everything exists to bring Him glory. When He gives you favor and blessing, it is so you will bring Him glory.
