Our past defines our present. We have been shaped by it. It's what we talk about, and sometimes cling to. Someone you can't forgive. Feeling guilt, shame, or pride. As long as you are focused on the past, you will only become what you already are.

Here is the choice: We will either ride out our lives and settle for whoever shows up, or we realize that something must change, and we commit to pour out our lives for Jesus and His kingdom. We must be willing to make the difficult decisions to be good stewards of the mission.

The bottom line is that spreading the Gospel and the love of Jesus is on us. Nobody else is coming. Either we accept full responsibility of the mission, or the majority of the people in our city will remain lost and eternally separated from God.
