Most Christians want to be used by God, but don’t believe they’re smart enough, gifted enough, or qualified. But that’s not true. God can use you, but He has to prepare you for what He has for you. What does it look like to live a life of faith, trusting and obeying God even when it doesn’t make sense?

Often times, the Holy Spirit will tell us to do something that doesn’t seem to make sense. This is why the Christian life is a life of faith. We don’t have the ability to understand God’s ways or His full perspective. We have to trust Him and obey Him, knowing He is in control of everything and His plan is best.

In most American churches, Christians are seen as good people with good intentions, who attend church and like God. Through the years, Christians have lowered the bar of what it means to be a Christian. What we see as radical today, used to just be called a follower of Jesus. Rather than defining a “follower of Jesus” by cultural standards, we should define it by biblical standards. So how does the Bible define following Jesus?

It is easy to get comfortable in what God did, and to stop pursuing Him for what He wants to do. Apathy and complacency is one of the enemy’s strategies to sideline followers of Jesus from fulfilling their calling. How do we push through this and keep pursuing Jesus to new levels?
