Looking at Paul's hardships, endurance, and how he poured out about Jesus, we see that he won. He lived significantly. The key to living a significant life is to daily sacrifice and work in tandem with the Spirit, and let Jesus live His life through you.

The church is not a building; it’s a body. You are the church. When we are really operating as the body of Christ, you will be in the Word, doing life with other believers, blessing others, and never forgetting the work of Christ on your behalf.

Hope makes you dangerous because it lets Satan know that you are not giving up and you are not giving in. Putting your hope in Jesus shows that you are pushing through in spite of the darkness and in spite of the circumstances.

Jesus served unconditionally and sacrificially, even washing the feet of one who was about to betray him. Are we being this image of Jesus in our lives to those who are less fortunate? Or are we focusing on "me"?

The idea is that with Jesus, all things are possible, and life is lived to the fullest. Apart from Him you are empty, powerless and unfulfilled. Because you are “in Him”, you have everything you need.

God always has a purpose for our pain. Most often we don't know what it is, but it is enough to know that His perfect love has determined that He will use that pain to accomplish His purpose in our lives.

During difficult seasons, it's hard to find God’s presence and trust His plan, purpose, and to believe in His promises. If you don’t trust that He is who He says and that He will do what He says He will do, it will be difficult to have faith in Him.

Its easy to feel good about our level of holiness and purity because we compare ourselves to others instead of to Him. Truthfully, seeing God for who He is and all that He does for us is what will change our lives.

Where we go for comfort reveals where we have put our hope. We look to cheap substitutes to satisfy us, when God has so much more planned for us. In spite of that, He still says, “I still love you and I want you back”.

The story of Saul starts off okay but quickly, he becomes prideful and disobedient. His story reminds us that as followers of Jesus, we are called to live as Jesus lived. That is what a disciple is.

The story of Ruth is really our story. We were lost and undeserving. Chosen and called to become children of God. Redeemed by our Kinsman Redeemer who was willing and able to pay the price to redeem us from sin and death.

In this chapter the Lord calls Moses up to the top of Mt. Sinai and gives him and the Israelites a list of commandments as well as a new covenant that is formed between the Lord and his people.
