Jesus says some really hard things in the Word about how we should behave and act. Sometimes they are hard to implement in our lives, but if we wish to live in the fullest relationship with Jesus that we can, we must abide to these tough sayings.

It is the kindness of God that leads a sinner to repentance, not the judgment of self-righteous Christians. In order to help mend those broken people, we must love on them, not judge and condemn them for their sins.

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus talked about generosity because He wants all of your heart and He knew that money would be a barrier, an idol, to people and that it would be a competitor for your affection.

It’s easy to put on a “religious mask” and go through life focusing on works instead of having an authentic relationship with Jesus. We must analyze our faith and see where we stand. Are you natural, carnal, or spiritual in your life?
