JCF 2024 Golf Tournament Update

Thank you to everyone who supported our 2nd Annual JCF Golf Tournament! We are proud to share that we raised $22,544.40 towards our mission to support the unhoused through demonstrations of love and justice.

Jimmy Carroll House

We were so blessed by Ship Community Outreach's choice to honor Jimmy by naming their first housing complex for unhoused individuals in Raleigh, The Jimmy Carroll House.

We consider it a privilege to partner with Ship Outreach and remain grateful for their help in keeping Jimmy’s legacy alive.

Partner Events

National Crime Victims’ Rights Week

JCF was honored to participate in a National Crime Victims’ Rights Week event at the State Archives of North Carolina.

During this commemorative event, caretakers courageously shared their powerful stories of resilience, strength, and recovery from victimization in the hope of raising awareness for others and preventing future abuse. We also had the opportunity to support our partner, Ship Outreach, who received an award for victim advocacy at the event.

Duke University Hospital PTCT

To honor Mother's Day, JCF provided some compassion and sustenance to caregivers at Duke University Hospital PTCT. This is just another example of our mission to foster "demonstrations of love and justice." We hope they felt the love, and we were honored to be part of their Mother's Day.

Uncharitable

JCF was happy to be a part of a local screening of the movie Uncharitable, a timely and crucial documentary that uncovers the realities of philanthropy and introduces a radical new way of giving. We are thankful to be a part of conversations that bring awareness and acknowledgment to the work of nonprofits that are impacting our world one person at a time.

Raleigh Homelessness

Homelessness is very much an issue in Raleigh, and JCF is working to improve it. JCF partners with organizations that focus on often overlooked and marginalized people in Raleigh and greater Wake County that are recognizing social disparities and are meeting practical needs.

In Raleigh and Wake County, there are over 6,000 individuals seeking homeless services, and 70% of those are considered homeless due to a recent crisis in their lives.
